Volunteer Firefighters' Dependents Fund

Governed by Ohio Revised Code, Chapter 146, the Volunteer Firefighters' Dependents Fund Board's function is to prepare and submit an application upon the line of duty death of a firefighter. Barring a firefighter death or disability, the Board typically meets once a year for less than an hour.

A certificate of Annual Election of Board Members is established and approved by the Board of Trustees during the Annual Organizational Meeting (which must be held before January 15th).
