Spring Clean Up Day

Posted on: April 2, 2018 10:00 am

Fairfield Township's Annual Spring Clean Up Day will be held on April 28, 2018, from 9:00 A.M - 3:00 P.M.  Residents are encouraged to bring items ready for disposal to the Administration Building at 6032 Morris Road between the appropriate hours.  A total of twelve (12) dumpsters will be available as well as Service Department employees to assist.

Volunteers are greatly needed and are always an integral part of the day's success.  Volunteer jobs include walking bike paths and parks for trash, directing traffic, setting up and serving lunch, handing out t-shirts ad registering volunteers, spreading playground mulch, and planting flowers. All volunteers receive a Spring Clean Up Day shirt and lunch for their participation.  This is an excellent way for students, scout troops, and churches to receive community service hours.  It is also a great opportunity for families to enjoy time together. To learn more or volunteer please contact Zoning Administrator Chuck Goins at cgoins@fairfieldtwp.org or 785-2266.

Clean Up Day is the perfect opportunity to bring debris, garbage, batteries, oil, latex paint, furniture, old clothes and other such items to a free disposal site. No better way to jump start your spring cleaning!

The Township is not able to accept computers, large Freon appliances, or hazardous waste of any kind.  Butler County Waste and Recycle has programs to assist with these items.  More information can be found on their website at http://www.butlercountyrecycles.org/index.cfm?page=collectEvents.

Business sponsors are also needed and encouraged as it allows Fairfield Township to do even more with this awesome day.  Sponsor letters have been mailed out and we thank those businesses who have already donated to the case.  Not only will they be included on the Clean Up Day t-shirts, but depending on the level of sponsorship more will be included. If you own or manage a business and are willing to support the Township as a sponsor please contact Zoning Administrator Chuck Goins at cgoins@fairfieldtwp.org or 785-2266.  Checks can be made out to Fairfield Township and mailed to Fairfield Township Administration Building 6032 Morris Road, Fairfield Township, OH  45011.
