SAFETY IN COLD WEATHER

As we approach late Fall and Winter, it is important to remember how quickly roads, weather, and cold can become dangerous.  Ohio weather is often unpredictable with changes within the day and week.  Low temperatures, snow, sleet, and ice can be deadly so it is always a good idea to prepare early and minimize, or even eliminate, dangerous situations.

REMINDERS

Here are some often shared reminders: wear layers, keep a spare blanket, ice scraper, jumper cables, and snacks in your vehicles, be mindful that snow shoveling results in many heart attacks each year, be cautious with outdoor steps in case they have iced over, remember that bridges ice over more quickly than regular roads, slow down when driving, and BE SMART!
