To date 2018 has been an active and highly successful year for Fairfield Township. Initiatives such as the Drug Take Back Program, the Residential Fire Alarm Replacement, and Spring Clean Up Day have been well utilized and appreciated by residents. A watershed study has is currently under way for the Greenlawn Road area and the Township is completing a Community Block Development Grant for the benefit of sewer on Fairfax Avenue.

Economic Development in the Township includes the addition of Storypoint and the Fire Station on Gilmore Road as well as a state of the art industrial Park on Seward Road.  The Township has been pleased to welcome El Rancho Nuevo,  AAA, Dollar General and Pizza Hut off of By Pass 4. Active conversations and plans continue with Bridgewater Falls who has shared a commitment towards continuous improvement.  McKenzie River Pizza, BurgerIM, Orange Theory, and Christopher Banks have all opened or will be open at Bridgewater Falls in 2018.

Holiday events have been fun and very well attended.  By far the most popular event is the annual Easter Egg Hunt! Additional events this year included the CPAA Memorial Day Festival, the Home Depot Safety Fair, Walkers Club, the BW Falls Safety Fair,Trunk or Treat, Fire Headquarters Open House, Movie Nights at the Millikin Road Park, Shop with A Cop, and the Christmas Store held at Fairfield East Elementary.

There are many other wins such as the Butler Tech median project, use of Hardest Hits Funds for land reinvestment, the completion of aggressive paving work, and the hiring of 6 full time fire employees (a first in the Township's history) that can be named.  Progress throughout 2018 can be easily found and tracked by visiting the Township's Facebook Page for pictures and updates.  Not only has 2018 been successful, it has been fun and forward thinking.  Look for continued growth, partnerships, and events into 2019 and for years to come! Thank you to all who have been an active part of the Township's success!
