Road Repairs Continue in the Township

March 27, 2017  |  Road Construction

This year Fairfield Township Trustees have made a commitment to road improvement within the Township.  Up to $600,000 has been allocated to road repairs and paving.  Currently the Service Department is crack sealing various neighborhood roads. These roads include Jocelyn, Beagle, Tyler Point, and Morris Road between Hamilton Mason and Princeton.  Currently they can be found crack sealing in the Lakewood Subdivision. In addition, durapatch work has been performed on many roads including Dust Commander, Derby Drive, Riva Ridge, Citation, Dixon, Saratoga, Chandler Way, Terra Brooke Way and Court, Weathered Oaks Drive, Hickory View, Dixon, Stockbridge, Hollyberry, Bayberry, and Vinnedge Road.

Butler County bids and contracts out paving work each year for townships within the county.  By using this collaborative approach to road repairs, cost efficiencies are realized throughout the county, including in Fairfield Township. Paving estimates have been received and slight modifications are being made before a final estimate is presented.

In 2017, highly travelled roads in need of attention, such as Morris Road from Tylersville to Hamilton Mason, are being paved, as these roads serve many and will have the greatest impact for residents and commuters.

The Township remains committed to serving its residents and maintaining roadways. If there are questions or concerns please contact Julie Vonderhaar at 785-2299.
