Fire Station 212 Officially Open On Time and Under Budget

April 15, 2019

The new station on Gilmore Road is complete UNDER BUDGET and AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! The building is beautiful, but practical and functional. Thanks to the excellent planning and fore sight of the Board, Administration, and Fire Chief, Station 212 provides space and growth for the future.

As of 6:00 P.M. May 1, 2019, the fire department employees moved from the Tylersville station to Gilmore Road.  Both exciting and bittersweet, we congratulate the department on their move to Gilmore.  Old Station 212 will always be remembered fondly as it has been the home of many fie fighters through the years.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was held on May 11, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. and was an amazing morning. In addition to the ribbon cutting, the flag was officially raised for the first time at the new station, and tours of the new facility were given.  The Township appreciates all who attended and showed their support.

The address of the new station is 6911 Gilmore Road. For additional information or to ask questions please contact Chief Tim Thomas at tthomas@fairfieldtwp.org or (513)785-2240.
