School Board to Consider November Levy

The Fairfield School District treasurer has recommended to the school board that the district place an operating levy on the November ballot. Treasurer Nancy Lane presented a five-year forecast of revenues and expenses to the school board at its work session on Thursday, May 5. It showed the district would have less than $75,000 left at the end of the 2011-12 school year. That’s less than one day’s operating expenses in the 10,000-student district.
