Round two of the small business grant has been approved:
The Fairfield Township Small Business COVID Relief Grant Program will provide small businesses with some monetary relief from expenses incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Businesses may request up to $10,000 with proper documentation to show proof of reimbursable expenses.
Eligible Small Businesses
- Must have brick-and-mortar business location within Fairfield Township.
- Must be a for-profit entity in business as of January 2019.
- Must have fewer than 25 full-time equivalent. employees
- Franchise businesses are eligible if locally-owned and all other criteria is met.

Eligible Expenses
- Business interruption costs that are traditional reoccurring operational overhead expenses, but which the business suffered economic hardship in its efforts to repay as a result of State-sanctioned closured, limited operations, or increased restrictions because of COVID-19, such as mortgage payments, rent payments, utility payments and payroll expenses.
- Business interruption costs that were additional costs the business had to expend in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, such as items meant to protect the public and employees during the pandemic (PPE, hand sanitizer, etc.) or costs incurred during a reopening process (plexiglass barriers, signage communicating state-based requirements for public access, etc.)

Applications will be accepted Tuesday, November 24, 2020 through Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 4:30 p.m.
Demand may exceed funds so it's a first come, first served grant program. Due to the nature of the program and federal funding restrictions, please read the Grant Application carefully.
