Zoning Nuisance and Complaints
You may register a nuisance or a complaint in one of the following methods:
1 -- Stop by the Township Administration Building at
6032 Morris Road to register a nuisance.
2 -- Print the
Nuisance/Complaint Form. Fill in the pertinent information and drop off the form at the Township Administration Building.
3 -- Call one of the Zoning Inspectors at 887-4400.

Fairfield Township Removal of a Nuisance Procedure
1 -- The Zoning Inspector receives a complaint or a report of a nuisance.
2 -- The Zoning Inspector with the support of a Police Officer, if necessary, investigates and determines the complaint's validity.
3 -- If complaint has merit, the Zoning Inspector calls property owner and requests the nuisance be removed.
4 -- After seven days if property owner has not removed nuisance, the Zoning Inspector prepares a written report to the Administrator outlining the nuisance and requests a resolution to the Board of Trustees for a nuisance removal.
5 -- If Trustees approve the resolution, the Zoning Inspector sends a written notice to the property owner or lien holders requesting the nuisance removal.
6 -- If the nuisance is not removed after seven (7) days, the Administrator is authorized to employ the necessary means at the property owner's expense to remove the noted nuisance.
7 -- All expenses incurred to remove the nuisance are paid by the Township, and then formally forwarded to the County Auditor for reimbursement.
8 -- When the nuisance is being removed, Fairfield Township Police are present for the removal of the nuisance.
